Your perspective can change your perception. Walking around my yard I may notice a weed has flowered or realize I need to mow the grass, but I rarely take the time to get down on my knees and examine the hidden details in the flower or lawn.
I started this message on a plane flying to a seminar in Southern California. Once we were over the Southwest it looked as if our planet is a vast brown, tan and red desert. But recently I saw A Beautiful Planet, an IMAX documentary, with 3D footage taken from the International Space Station. From the perspective of the astronauts it's clear that the earth is a beautiful blue and green water planet.
Sometimes we don't see the forest for the trees and sometimes we don't see the beauty of the leaves because they are lost in the forest. The morning after I arrived in Anaheim I was taking photos from the 12th floor of the Disney parks across the street. I looked down and noticed how alone and isolated the woman on the pool deck appeared. Take some time to change your perspective and look at something familiar from a different viewpoint and, of course, take some pictures of what you discover. Susan
